The open-source platform to build LLM apps and agents.
Dify — The open-source platform to build LLM apps and agents. Developers and technical teams who want to build LLM apps while keeping control. Editorial rating: 4/5 (Recommended).
What is Dify?
Dify is an open-source platform for building LLM applications: it brings together, on a single visual canvas, agentic workflow building, a RAG pipeline (to query your documents), model management, a prompt IDE and observability. The goal is to move from prototype to production without hand-gluing a dozen building blocks yourself.
Its great strength is openness: Dify connects to hundreds of proprietary and open-source models (GPT, Mistral, Llama, any OpenAI-compatible model), offers dozens of built-in tools for agents (web search, image generation, etc.), and exposes everything via APIs. You can self-host it on your own infrastructure or use Dify Cloud.
It's a technical 'builder' tool: more accessible than writing everything by hand, but it assumes you understand the concepts (RAG, agents, embeddings). For a team that wants to industrialize AI assistants and workflows while keeping control (and the option to host everything), it's one of the open-source references.
