What is Make?

If Zapier is the mainstream 'glue' between apps, Make (formerly Integromat) is the serious tinkerer's workshop. Instead of linear 'if this, then that' flows, it offers a visual canvas where you wire modules like a circuit: conditional branches, loops, aggregations, advanced data handling. You literally watch the data flow from node to node.

That power is what makes it the pick of ops and automation profiles: what Zapier makes painful (complex logic, fine data manipulation), Make makes legible — and often for less at equal volume. A generous free tier lets you build real scenarios before reaching for your card.

The flip side is a slightly higher entry step: thinking in 'flows' takes a little mental gymnastics, and the turnkey integration catalog is thinner than Zapier's. On very large scenarios the canvas can also get dense. It's the classic trade-off: a bit more technical, a lot more control. Our reflex the moment automation gets complex.
