What is Emergent?

Emergent is part of the new 'vibe coding' wave: you describe in natural language the application you want, and AI agents handle the rest — design, code, database, authentication, integrations and deployment. The stated ambition is to go beyond screen generators: to produce a full application stack that's genuinely usable in production.

The tool covers web apps as well as mobile apps (iOS/Android), dashboards, e-commerce sites and internal tools. Generated code syncs with your GitHub repository and belongs to you: you can export it, deploy it elsewhere or continue with an engineering team.

As with all tools of this kind, the magic has limits: the more ambitious and specific the project, the more you need to guide, review and fix. For a prototype, an MVP or an internal app, it's a tremendous accelerator; for critical software, it remains a starting point to have audited.

Impressive for turning an idea into a full prototype. Best seen as a starting point to refine, not a finished deliverable.
